Villa Mendes began as an old village house on Rua do Barco, the kind with thick walls, cool rooms and decades of family lunches in them. We renovated it from the ground up. The calm stayed, and everything the old house never had came with it: four suites with their own bathrooms, a proper kitchen, a bright living room, an attic office and a pool in the garden.
We rent it the only way that felt right, which is the whole house, to one family or group at a time. No strangers across the hall, no shared pool. You get the keys and it's your home in Portugal for as long as you're here.
